The tournament will be open to all grades
(K-12). Each player will compete in one
of the following sections:
Section 1 |
Kindergarten to Grade 3
players |
rated less than 400 or unrated |
Section 2 |
Kindergarten to Grade 3
players |
rated 400 or more |
Section 3 |
Grade 4 to Grade 12 players |
rated less than 600 or
unrated |
Section 4 |
Grade 4 to Grade 12 players |
rated 600 or more |
Provided that an explicit request is made
during registration (a) players from Section 1 may elect to play in Section 2
and players from Section 3 may elect to play in Section 4.
Medals will be awarded to the top three
players in each section. There will also
be certificates for best performance in each section and best performance by an
unrated player. Finalist Pins will be awarded to
all other players engaged in tie-breaker games.
A canteen service available hotdogs, chips,
pop/juice etc. The “Bring a Friend” reward applies to this
