Qualifying to Play at the CCC Provincial Final Championships in St. John's

At the CCC Regional Tournaments in February, the following formula will be used to select the number of players that will qualify to play at the Provincial Final in St. John's in March:

bullet

1 - 3 players in grade => top 3 will qualify,

bullet

4 -6 players in grade => top 4 players will qualify,

bullet

7 - 9 players in grade => top 5 players will qualify

bullet

10 - 12 players in grade => top 6 players will qualify

bullet

13 - 15 players in grade => top 7 players will qualify etc...

Note that these numbers qualify in addition to past/previous/defending grade champions who have earned the right to advance automatically to the Provincial Final through past accomplishment (provided they play in a regional tournament). Therefore, a high number at a regional should not prevent well deserved individuals from qualifying.
