5 rounds Swiss pairing with time controls of 25 min/5 second delay (per player). |

There will be a canteen.
One half point bye may be requested per player for any round except the last round. The request must be made in advance of pairings for the round. Late comers will receive zero point byes for the rounds missed unless a bye was requested in advance. Tie breaker games will be played on the clock with 15 minute per player. In the event that a tie break game is drawn then the result will be decided by speed chess with 5 minutes per player.
Special Note:
We will be observing a minute’s silence in remembrance of the fallen and to ensure all those present appreciate the significance of November 11th.

All tournament participants must be supervised by a parent or designated guardian. Neither the Newfoundland and Labrador School Chess Association (NLSCA) nor the host school will be held responsible for the safety or behaviour of participants not actively engaged in tournament play. The responsibility of the tournament organizers will be limited to ensuring fair competition in accordance with NLSCA tournament rules.
